Closed New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Admission Fees:

Admission is free to Members every day.

Groups tours require advance registration. $50 nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking which will be applied to the tour balance.

Walk-in Tours are available from 10 AM – 3 PM.

 

Directions & Parking

The National Airline History Museum is located on the West Side of Kansas City’s Downtown Airport.

Parking is located on the South side of the building and is free to all guests.

Accessibility

Public areas in the National Airline History Museum are accessible to visitors in wheelchairs. We also have a wheelchair available for use on a first-come-first-served basis.

The Airplane interiors are not configured for wheelchair accessibility. Groups with special needs may contact the Museum to inquire about the possibility of adapting a current Museum tour to your unique needs.

 

* Due to being a working hangar, and because of our proximity to the airport, all tours of The National Airline History Museum are docent-led only at this time.

 

 

Directions

 

Directions from the North:
169 South, exit into the Downtown Airport onto Richards Road. Turn right and follow loop to the National Airline History Museum which is on the southwest corner of airport.

From the South:
Crossing the Broadway Bridge, stay in the left lane. Once over the bridge follow the left lane straight ahead as it drops down into the Downtown Airport. At the bottom of the ramp, proceed around the traffic circle. Once around the circle stay on Richards Road (east side of Signature Flight Service) and follow it around the south side of the airport until you reach the National Airline History Museum which is on the southwest corner of airport.

From the East:
Take I-70 W or US-40 W.
Turn right at US-169 N over the Broadway Bridge.
Crossing the Broadway Bridge, stay in the left lane. Take the immediate exit on the left towards Richards Road/Downtown Airport. At the bottom of the ramp, proceed around the traffic circle. Once around the circle stay on Richards Road (east side of Signature Flight Service) and follow it around the south side of the airport until you reach the National Airline History Museum which is on the southwest corner of airport.

From the West:
Take 1-70 E/US-169 N/US-24 E/US-40 E.
Turn left at US-169 N/Broadway Street over the Broadway Bridge.
Crossing the Broadway Bridge, stay in the left lane. Take the immediate exit on the left towards Richards Road/Downtown Airport. At the bottom of the ramp, proceed around the traffic circle. Once around the circle stay on Richards Road (east side of Signature Flight Service) and follow it around the south side of the airport until you reach the National Airline History Museum which is on the southwest corner of airport.
